Prepare a 10-slide power point presentation, following the directions below:

  • Slide 1: Cover slide.
  • Slides 2-3: Describe why the United States utilizes a separate system to hold juvenile criminal offenders responsible. Specifically identify what “delinquency” courts are.
  • Slides 4-5: Define and explain at least three (3) ways in which a juvenile court differs from adult criminal courts.
  • Slides 6-7: Discuss the consequences of NOT utilizing delinquency courts for juveniles. Be sure to address social concerns, like labeling, as well as practical concerns, like sentencing.
  • Slides 8-9: Provide an opinion (you may do this in 1st person) as to whether this country should continue to utilize juvenile delinquency courts. Be sure to support your argument and address Due Process here as well.
  • Slide 10: Reference slide (be sure to use at least two (2) scholarly sources, formatting your references properly in APA 7th).
