prepare a 15-page paper that follows the format style of the American Psychological
Association or APA Style Manual. If your team chooses to do a term paper, review the topics
listed in the Appendix at the end of this syllabus for some suggested topic ideas. Other topics
proposed by your team may also be suitable. Once you have selected a topic, let me know as
soon as possible. Topics will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Only one group per
topic will be assigned. Grades on the paper will be based on the following criteria: (a) content of
the paper (that is, accuracy, coverage of the topic, and from the perspective of the HR manager,
does the paper provide meaningful and useful information), (b) spelling and grammatical
correctness, (c) organization, professionalism and format, (d) proper use of citations Your
team’s goal should be to provide practical advice on your topic. (Your target audience is a group of people in the HR field who have employees reporting to them. They will want you to focus primarily on application and how they can take your content on benefits back to their organization and actually put it to use. Be sure to discuss how your part of the topic can be applied. This should not be too difficult with the sub-topics you have chosen.)
