Effects of Sleep Patterns on Diabetes Management: Study how sleep quality and duration influence blood sugar control and the risk of complications in diabetic patients.

Choose a specific topic of interest with regard to any chronic (complex) disease of your choice. The disease must be non-infectious and non-communicable. Perform an online search on your topic using PUBMEDLinks to an external site. as the database. No other database is to be used for this project. Using at least 5-7 original research articles, perform a review of the literature on your topic.

The articles chosen should be original research articles and NOT Review/Systematic Review/Meta-analysis/Editorial/Commentary/Perspective/Letter to the Editor/Opinion Piece etc. If you are not sure how to identify an original research article, please contact me or the FGCU librarian. Reviews that are not based on original research articles will receive reduced or zero credit.

Your literature review should be 5-6 double spaced pages long. Include a title page, an abstract and a reference page (these will not count toward the page limit). You may exceed the number of pages if you wish, but shorter summaries will result in reduced credit. Font size should not exceed 12. All references should be cited using the APA or the MEDLINE/PubMed Journal Article Citation Format. Use in-text citations.
