The paper outline detailing how the thesis should be structured has been downloaded.
Kindly adhere to that rubric while composing the paper. Additionally, I request daily progress updates after the completion of each section.I am interested in exploring the possibility of conducting a comprehensive program evaluation focusing on DOJ grants and CDC initiatives related to the Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative (CVI), particularly those involving violence interrupters within community-based initiatives.
This evaluation would encompass various facets including the distribution of grants, the criteria utilized for distribution, the range of programs seeking funding, their application processes, the allocated amounts, potential areas for enhancement, the effectiveness of funded programs, their impact on communities, and recommendations for optimizing both grant allocation and program outcomes.
By undertaking this program evaluation, we aim not only to authenticate facts but also to deepen our comprehension of grant program operations, thereby aligning with our organizational objectives. This is especially pertinent for Republicans, many of whom hold a simplistic “crime then police” viewpoint on violence. They are likely to seek statistics and insights into grant-making criteria to understand the value of violence interrupters (VI).
It is crucial to explore alternative funding streams beyond those tied to prosecutors and prisons within the DOJ, considering that the CVI operates within the State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance account. This aspect is particularly intriguing because to engage activists and Black communities effectively, we may need to explore avenues for advancing DOJ funding.
Moreover, the CDC component of this project holds promise for yielding valuable research insights that will inform our future endeavors.
