1. Significantly revise a project from earlier in the semester. Students choosing this op–
tion will be asked to significantly revise one of the major written projects from this semester
(the personal narrative, the research essay, or the profile) and develop it with at least two
major research approaches (archival, secondary, or qualitative).
For example, a student could choose to revise their personal essay by incorporating their
secondary research and their interviews, creating a secondary informed by contextual
information from the library and your interview subject. Another student might choose to
develop the research essay using either archival sources or interview to fully make an aca–
demic claim.
Regardless of the method chosen, the final project must be significantly revised (in form,
structure, and content), nearly doubled in length (at least 1,750 words), and incorporate at
least two research modalities.
