Hi, I’m struggling to write the “introduction” bit of my research report. It needs to be split into 3 main sections: Context, Literature review and Predictions. Context part establishes the issue area by stating an important observation or problem that needs addressing in the specific topic. Context of the study. (1 small ish paragraph)
Literature overview reviews existing research and states why this research needs doing, building on the work of others. Will hopefully include the reading specified below. (1-2 decent sized paragraphs)
Predictions: what we expect to hppen in the current project. (My hypotheses are:The stronger the student identity is the higher the belief that students work hard and the better access they have to extracurriculars & Stronger student identity associates with less free time. (1 paragraph)
Research question:Is there a relationship between student identity and how hard-working students are, their access to extracurricular activities and how much free time they have?)
Topic:exploring how feelings of student identity may be associated with 3 other variables: 1) how hard students work, 2) access to extracurricular activities and 3) how much free time they get.

More context: I don’t know if you’ll need this information but it is a quntitative study, data was collected from university students that had to complete a questionnaire including a self assessed overlap (how much they
“identify” as a student), and questions on a scale 1-100: how hard student work, access to extracurricilar activities and free time. Please don’t write about methods, participants, discussion etc. I’d just like the introduction bit! Thank you so ever much!!
