The paper will focus on the disparities in water and air quality policies between the USA and India. It will examine specific objectives of environmental policy in both countries, focusing on how each addresses issues such as water scarcity, pollution, management, and contamination. By comparing the policies and practices of these two countries, the paper aims to shed light on the socio-economic and political factors that contribute to environmental disparities between the Global North and the Global South.

Key sources will include readings from class, reports from organizations such as the World Health Organization and UN Environment Programme, and government publications outlining environmental policies and regulations in both the USA and India.

Additionally, it will explore how international cooperation and the sharing of technological advancements are essential for addressing global environmental challenges effectively.
