The purpose of this assignment is to allow students to explore the research literature on their capstone project’s clinical practice issue. Articles must be a RESEARCH ARTICLE; have a clearly articulated method section (research questions, have participants, procedures, instruments, and results). I will also accept a meta-analysis as the authors combine findings from articles and aggregate data to explore new findings. I will not accept literature reviews and/or synthesized review articles. Articles must be within the last five-years. However, I will allow earlier publications if you have trouble finding research articles on your topic. This annotated bibliography must follow the format as outlined in the APA 7th ed, pages 307-308.
Hint: When doing your literature review in CINHAL, use the advanced search and limit to research articles only and in the last 5 years. If you still have difficulty, make an appointment with a librarian to assist with your search.
The description that follows the reference citations must include the following:
1). Purpose(s) of the research project as it pertains to your clinical practice issue. These are the research question(s)or research aim(s).
2). The research design (correlational, experimental, qualitative, etc…)
3). The number and type of participants in the study (children, older adults, patients with chronic illnesses like diabetes, etc…).
4). Findings that pertain to your clinical practice issue only.
5). Implications for nursing practice that were be concluded from the findings.
This annotated bibliography must have a title page.
