Family Assessment/ family interview (Stanhope, M. & Lancaster, J. 2022) required book

 Create a paper with the following information. Identify your family as “Family A” (All MOs)


  1. State identifying characteristics- Identify family ages, hierarchy in family e.g. father, mother, son, daughter, grandmother and history of family members. This may be completed as a table.
  2. State the Traditional Family Life Cycle Stages & Family Developmental Tasks for each family member using the guide on Pg 347, table 20.1. (Not Erickson’s Developmental Stages.)
  3. Discuss the family’s environment inside their home and note three safety concerns for the family. Please discuss and agree upon with the family. 
  4. Discuss causes of family stress and the method(s) for coping. Use the questions on page 353, Box 20.4.  
  5. State one Healthy People 2030 objective that relates to your family assessment. Cite appropriately. https://health.gov/healthypeople/objectives-and-data 
  6. Explain your choice of the Healthy People 2030 objective, goals and why this is important for your chosen family. 
  7. Use correct grammar, spelling and follow the 7th ed. APA Manual format.
Instructions (same as above,  but more specific)
  1. Read about (in the text) and complete a family assessment.
  2. State identifying data-people in family and ages e.g. mother age 53 ( no family name or address or phone number) Identify family as family A. Identify family cultural background, religious identification, pertinent health information, years living in the United States, etc.). This may be completed in a table format.
  3. Discuss the family life cycle stage for each member of family using Table 20.1 and discuss if life cycle tasks are being met for each family member.  
  4. Perform an environmental assessment and describe findings- characteristics of home and neighborhood, family’s social support network.
  5. Discuss family stress and coping –short and long term family stressors, coping strategies used, dysfunctional strategies used (page 353, Box 20.4.).
  6. State one Healthy People 2030 objective (https://health.gov/healthypeople/objectives-and-data) that relates to your family assessment.
  7. Explain your choice of the Healthy People 2030 objective, goals and why this is important to your chosen family. 
  8. Follow posted rubric and cite all sources per APA 7th ed. Manual.

FAMILY INFORMATION 

Family is comprised of
Blanca 47-year-old, her husband Wilmer 49-year-old and their 2 children:
Gustavo 19-year-old and Anderson is 4-year-old. 

Blanca and Wilmer are
from Ecuador. they have been living in new jersey for 17 years. Their first
child Gustavo was raised by Blanca’s mom in Ecuador when they immigrated to
USA, but they are finally reunited for about 2 years now. Theirs second son
Anderson was born in USA in 2020. 

Religion: catholic

Support network are their
siblings ans some firends  

Blanca and Wilmer are
fluent in both English and Spanish. Gustavo is attending ESL classes at night.
During the day he works with his dad in construction. Blanca is a housewife for
the moment since she is taking care of Anderson. 

They live in an apartment
on the 2nd floor.

one of the cause of family stress is
