Now that you are at the end of the course, it is time to take what you have learned and use it to consider the educational past, present, and future. You will get a chance to do this in our final discussion.
In your initial post, address the following prompts:
- Now that you are at the end of the course, how would you answer Ravitch’s 4 questions? (See accompanying resource in the module for what the 4 questions are)
- Based on your professional experience and what you have learned in the course, what direction do you think public education will take in the next 10 years?
Be sure to address the following:
- Show evidence of knowledge and understanding of course content (i.e. readings, videos, websites, etc.)
- Provide resources/research citations outside of the readings to extend the learning community
- Elicit reflection from other learners
- Attempt to motivate the discussion by asking questions of the community
Special Note: The discussion board issue must be on a topic you have not previously discussed in another assignment.
