Locate a JOURNAL article that uses a Quantitative (Experimental) Research approach. Journal articles are the actual articles from the researcher, and not summaries that someone else has done. They are frequently many pages, can be boring and confusing . . . I wouldn’t suggest reading the entire article at first – go to the “conclusions” or “discussion” section and see what they found out. Then look at the “data” section and see how they did their experiment. If the statistics confuse you, skip them for now – we will talk about them later. Discuss the type of research (was this a structured interview? Self-administered questionnaires? a structured observation? or something else?), the findings of the research, how they located their participants (this is important), and the limitations of the study. POST A LINK TO YOUR ARTICLE.
