2.  Comment on HOW the article, post, etc conveys an inaccurate depiction of psychological disorders and/or stigmatizes psychological disorders.  Make sure your response addresses the following questions: 
(1) What do we know through science to be accurate about the topic? 
(2) What content is misrepresented in the article or post that you selected?  
(3) Your response should cite the research evidence (you are free to draw upon study findings cited in our course material including readings, and/or identify a scholarly research paper in the peer-reviewed scientific literature). 
(4) How might you counteract such misrepresentations in your own life? 
3.  Make sure your response ALSO adheres to the following Guidelines: 
  • Express yourself clearly, concisely, and respectfully
  • Use appropriate (professional) style, grammar, and citations 
    • Casual responses written without care will be graded less favorably
  • Use appropriate citation format
  • Check your work!
  • Responses should be about 75 to 100 words (or 4 to 5 sentences) in length.  Strong content and concise writing style is more important than length!
  • Response should be submitted in Word or PDF format
