For the course project you’re asked to conduct research individually on a topic of your choice related to the international entertainment marketplace (movies, TV series, music, sports, videogames etc.)
For example, topics can be a specific piece of entertainment (feature-length motion pictures, TV series, sport events, videogames, etc.) or entertainment entities operating internationally (media conglomerates, TV channels, streaming platforms, independents, etc.) or a case study in the entertainment marketplace of your choice. Please note that it cannot be the analysis of the media landscape of a specific country, as this was the topic of the midterm exam. The goal of the research is to connect these projects to the readings and lectures of this course. You can utilize, if you want to, the same entertainment examples are using for your class presentation.
In your paper, please provide:
1) a brief historical background
2) describe and analyze your topic
3) discuss how it relates to the issues discussed in class and/or the readings in the syllabus.
A one paragraph synopsis of the project should be submitted for approval to your instructor by November 6. The final presentations will take place in the last two weeks of classes, and they must include visual aids and a short paper to turn in the last day of December 4th by 2:00 pm (8-10 pages double-spaced suggested) on Brightspace.
