Upto 2.3 points: Student responded, but the response does not address the question, or it is tangential; the response does not meet the required length. The content has been omitted or greatly run-on, has no direction or integration, and substantive issues under consideration are mentioned tangentially; the content ignores the issues at hand; there is no insight; the sentence structure is inappropriate.
Between 2.4 – 4.6 points: Student response lacks the required length, the material content is mentioned – terminology is used, but lacks depth, specificity for clarity and is somewhat redundant and repetitive. Content assigned lacks consistent integration and critical assessment; content is not consistently closely related to the substantive issues under consideration; is somewhat insightful; writing is somewhat clear (syntax & sentence structure are appropriate).
Between 4.7 – 7 points: Student response has clear evidence they reviewed the material, response meets the required length, and the weekly content covered is specific. Uses words/vocabulary relevant to the content and adds depth, is clear and clearly shows reviewing and understanding of the material. The assigned content is integrated and critically assessed; content is closely related to the substantive issues under consideration; is insightful, writing is clear.
