Family Involvement Project
Directions
Students will develop a guide to promote family involvement among families with English Language Learners. This guide should include:
- Description of family involvement including importance for diverse families
- Introduce the topic of family involvement
- Provide description of family involvement including impact on student achievement
- Provide information on family involvement at different stages in the child’s development
- Describe barriers or conflicts that may arise with families from diverse backgrounds
- Explain differences among cultural and linguistic groups regarding family involvement
- Include references for this section
