HA425M4-6: Examine the effectiveness and adaptability of quality improvement programs.
Assignment Introduction: In this assignment, you will research quality improvement projects that have been used in other health care organizations and in various settings. Pay particular attention to the setting you have chosen and to quality improvement projects that may be applicable to the issue you have identified for your final project. You can have fun with this and use your creativity to make it interesting for your listeners, who would be other health care professionals.
Assignment Directions:
- Create a 5- to 6-minute podcast that discusses two quality improvement projects you found from various settings that may be applicable to your chosen setting. (At least one must be from a different health care setting than the one you will use in your final project.) The podcast should be clear and easily understood, uses various inflections of the voice, captures the listener’s attention, and uses creativity to produce an enjoyable listening experience.
- Discuss how these two quality improvement projects would be effective to use in the quality improvement project you will recommend in your final assignment, using information from your research to support your recommendations.
- Discuss whether or not these were adopted from use in another industry, and why it was successfully leveraged in health care. (For example, was it based on the same principles?)
