Annotated Bibliography (40 Points)
Students will be required to submit an annotated bibliography of at least ten (10) peer-reviewed sources relevant to their approved topic. Of these sources, at least eight (8) must be original research articles – meaning no Literature Reviews, Meta Analyses, Editorials, Op-Eds, Position Stances or similar.
The annotated bibliography should be written in APA format. Each annotation will consist of:
· Two to four sentences summarizing the main ideas of the source (Describe the methodology of the study and the relevant outcomes)
· One or two sentences assessing and evaluating the source (Compare and contrast this source vs others, Is the information reliable and objective?)
· And one or two sentences reflecting on the source (Was this source helpful to you? How does it help you shape your argument/research question?)
The annotated bibliography will be due, via Blackboard submission, by 11:59pm on the date listed on the Course Calendar.

“Sounds like an interesting topic. Here are my general suggestions before you begin your research:
-I would specify which type of exercise you’re interested in – aerobic/cardiovascular, speed/agility, resistance training?
-I would also narrow down which benefits you are specifically hoping to see – aerobic capacity improvement, strength, speed, power?”
Literature Review
Students will be required to submit a literature review discussing their approved topic. Students should use their annotated bibliography to build their literature review. Reviews will include at least fifteen (15) peer-reviewed sources, including the ten (10) students submitted as part as their annotated bibliography. Of these sources, at least twelve (12) of them must be original research articles. Literature reviews will be at least seven (7), but no more than twelve (12), double spaced pages in length (not including bibliography).
