Among the Harlem Renaissance’s significant contributors were Garvey, Johnson, and Locke. In a 600 (or more) word essay, select something about each of them that drew your attention in a way that resonates with you as their contribution to Black Lives. Discuss them separately in their own paragraphs. Thus, your thesis statement at the end of your first paragraph should mention them in the order in which you will discuss them.
If quoting, use the exact words of the person or source you are quoting. HOWEVER, if not quoting, please use Black or African American, and never use Negro or colored people, terms considered offensive today.

4) YOUR ESSAY must have an Introduction paragraph, developing paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph:- One long paragraph is not an essay. For a two-point thesis, this essay must be 4 or more paragraphs. it must be developed as follows:
MUST BEGIN WITH an introduction paragraph that MUST have a thesis statement UNDERLINED in the last sentence of this first introduction paragraph. (Note the thesis statement is a blueprint for the essay in that it indicates the plan for what is to be discussed in the essay and the order in which it will be discussed). It must have developing paragraphs and a concluding paragraph.
