In the
previous units, we have discussed some history as it relates to race and ethnic
relations as well as the relationship between race and domestic terrorism. In
this essay, you will explore this in more detail.
First,
discuss the history of women and minorities in law enforcement. Be sure to
include the following in your discussion:
- Why is
important to commit to recruit and retain female and minority law
enforcement officers? - Identify and
explain three recruitment practices which could be effective in hiring
female officers.
Second,
discuss the history of response to the war on terror. Be sure to discuss the
following in your response:
- The difference
between a hate group and a terrorist group. Provide an example of both. - How law
enforcement should respond to terrorist threats in multicultural
communities.
Your
essay must be at least three pages in length, not including title or reference
pages. Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text
citations and references for all sources that are used. At least two sources
