- It should be no more than 2 pages long. (One extra page for references is ok).
- It should be set up like this
- ask a qualitative question (background)
- review an article that addresses that qualitative question (literature review/critiquing the article)
- discuss the outcomes and its applicability to clinical practice. (discussion)
- Pay attention to the rubric: This is not a summary of the article- but instead, it is a critique of the research methodology used in the article. You will need to critique the sample, data collection, data analysis, whether the author developed your trust in their process (by showing connections between the raw data and final outcomes), and the internal/ external validity of the article.
I will attach the Rubric, the step by step guide to critiquing qualitative research (may be used as one of the resources) as well as the article to be critiqued (may be used as one of the resources). Please reach out if you have any questions.
