Mind that this essay I need you to write is on a social science pov with a focus on politcs and cultural studies but with historical scientific background.
Also I have a feedback form this previous essay for some improvements I can make on this essay: For starters: please don’t write the whole assignment in italics. Refer to the assignment guidelines for future reference. Because you have done this the entire reference list is done incorrectly as it cannot follow APA style and you have lost points there. The intext citations are done alright (sans the italics issue) but the reference list has 4+ errors, so you have scored a 0 on this criteria. The topic is relevant and interesting! It is well contextualized and the RQ is clear, so good job with that! I am glad to see that you have made attempts to develop Bourdieu’s theoretical framework for your paper. Probably will be a good idea to go into this in more detail for the final paper. The structure has coherency; the section on the three waves of emigration is well done and adds nuance to your topic. There is key scholarship that is missing from your paper. To fill this gap, I would advice to look into some key scholarship by postcolonial theorists such as Edward Said, Robert J. C. Young, Homi Bhabha, Walter Mignolo, Frantz Fanon, Gayatri Spivak, Edward Said, Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o, Aime Cesaire. So for the final paper, look into bringing these in. Also would be interesting to reflect on the use of the terminology ‘Magreb’ which is a french colonial invention in itself and rooted in Western modernity.
