Please answer this question by building on the readings to support your argument.
The key evaluation point will be the understanding of the argument in this course and your use of the literature to bolster the essay through quotes and paraphrases supported by page numbers (where absent cite the beginning of the paragraph and for the Baylis the page numbers of the pdf).
Author/date in text citations (Senghaas, 1984: 66).
The essay should have an introduction that puts the answer to the above question in the form of a thesis statement, develop the argument in the main part, and come to a conclusion where you are able to create a transition to the next part of the course, the critical evaluation. This means you can either point out the contradictions of the dominant approach or point to gaps in the research carried out so far.
Please use paragraphs – for each new thought one paragraph. The paper should be 5-6 pages long, not counting the title page and the list of references at the end. There should be a subheading after the introduction or a double paragraph so that I know when your introduction ends; same for conclusion.
No numbers, bullet points etc for the reference list, the reference list has to be complete, APA style, and in alphabetical order.
