In this assignment, you will build an annotated bibliography using 8 peer-reviewed sources related to your chosen research topic. This assignment will help you identify, evaluate, and connect these sources to your research project.
Step 1: Locate Peer-Reviewed Sources Use academic databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, or PVAMU library resources to find 8 peer-reviewed sources directly related to your research topic. Each source MUST be from a reputable journal or academic publisher and is peer-reviewed.
Step 2: Create Your Annotated Bibliography For each of the 8 sources, create an annotated bibliography entry following these guidelines:
Citation: Provide a complete citation for the source using APA citation style
Summary: Write a concise summary of the source’s main points, including the research question or hypothesis, methods used, key findings, and any relevant statistics or data. Do not copy and paste the article’s summary. You are required to summarize the article IN YOUR OWN WORDS. In your summaries, please be sure to address the following (in a few sentences):
Evaluation: Assess the source’s credibility, including the author’s qualifications, the source’s publication venue, and any potential biases. Discuss the strengths and limitations of the research.
Connection to Research: Explain how this source is relevant to your chosen research topic in Kinesiology. Does it provide background information, support your research question, or offer contrasting viewpoints?
Reflection: Share your personal reflections on the source. Did it contribute valuable insights to your understanding of your research topic? Did it raise any questions or suggest areas for further investigation?
Step 3: Compile Your Annotated Bibliography Compile all 8 annotated bibliography entries into a single document, following a consistent format.
Step 4: Formatting and Submission Format your work with citation first then summary. Proofread your work to ensure accuracy, clarity, and proper citation formatting. Submit your annotated bibliography in PDF format. No other format will be accepted.
Grading Criteria: Your annotated bibliography will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

Clear and concise summaries of each source’s main points.
Brief evaluation of the source’s credibility, strengths, and limitations.
A clear connection of each source to your research topic.
Thoughtful reflections on the value and relevance of each source.
