criminal justice, racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic profiling are used to detect possible offenders. Ethical concerns arise despite its potential usefulness to law enforcement. Frequently, profiling results in prejudice, which in turn reinforces preconceptions and keeps systemic bias alive. Skeptics contend that it promotes an unfair society by violating people’s entitlement to legal equality. Another issue with profiling is that it might lead to false positives, when innocent people are targeted just because of their demographic information. Finding a middle ground between strong law enforcement and safeguarding civil freedoms is of the utmost importance. Concerns about profiling’s ethical implications highlight the importance of using objective, evidence-based methods to guarantee justice in the criminal justice system.


You must also have a title slide in APA format. Your presentation must have a minimum of 12 slides not including a title slide, an abstract slide and a reference slide.
For this project, you may choose any ethical dilemma in criminal justice that you find interesting. In the first part of the project you will briefly discuss the dilemma that you chose. Then you will persuade the audience to see the dilemma from your point of view using research to support your stance. You will use the recording feature in your PowerPoint to present your presentation; this will allow you to add your voice or any additional audio to your presentation.
Your grade will depend upon the presentation of your analysis and research, the quality of the work presented – whether you give a detailed presentation or a vague overview, whether you addressed all parts of the question asked, and how you support your argument/discussion – as well as the citing of a variety of sources/use of references and whether you met the mandatory minimum slide requirement.  Please make sure to use AT LEAST 5 sources for your research. 
The presentation should be written using APA Format.  Please make sure you review your project for spelling, grammar, and format and plagiarism errors before submitting it. Remember that the project should be submitted as a Microsoft Power Point and submitted as an attachment.
