Write a research paper based on the requirements I give you. You are arguing that the stigmatization of graffiti as vandalism negatively affects teenage artists by hindering their identity formation and social engagement within the art community. I will provide seven sources. Three of them are websites, two of them are documents I will provide and two of them are visual images. Additionally I will provide the directions for the paper along with a works cited guide.

Research question: How does the perception of graffiti and street art as forms of vandalism affect the identity and social engagement of teenage artists?
Thesis: Teenage artists’ identity development and social engagement are negatively affected by the prosecution and social stigma surrounding graffiti and street art as vandalism, which may lead them to paths toward criminal behavior later in life.
The thesis must be argument-driven, supported with clear premises, logical reasoning, and a
sound argument.
• At a minimum, you are required to cite at least 5 sources; at least 2 of those must be peer-
reviewed, and at least 2 must be visual images you analyze.
• The essay should be 2100-2400 words (approx.7-8 pages)–anything shorter or longer will be
considered a failure to adhere to one of the assignment’s basic requirements. This research paper
is intentionally shorter than average so you have time revise and polish your paper not only in
content, but also in style and mechanics.
• The essay should be double-spaced, typed in Times New Roman with 12-point font and one-
inch margins all the way around, and have an original title, header, and MLA heading. The
Annotated Works Cited will be included at the end of the essay on a new page. Please see LSH
for other MLA formatting and expectations.
