I need a first level dissertation around this topic. I want to do a historical overview of American involvement in Afghanistan and Syria and how this has created partisanship within the US and how this partisanship as negatively affected america’s hegemonic dominion. The Key research questions that need answering are: How has America firstly gained a hegemonic control and how has it kept it, looking specifically post WW2 and looking at Syria and Afghanistan as examples of America maintaining hegemony. Second question: how has American involvement in Syria and Afghanistan helped stoke the partisan divide and highlighted how American hegemony on the international stage is being challenged. 3rd: What has created the Partisan divide and what implications are we seeing on the Global stage due to it and is it leading to a decline in American global hegemony. Look at things like China, the Petro dollar agreement keeping and helping American economic hegemony, also analysing cold war dynamics and how the bipartisan feeling during that time within america has been degraded.
