Purpose:
The annotated bibliography develops students’ research skills and helps them evaluate sources for credibility, relevance, and contribution to their analysis.
Instructions:

- Source Selection:
- Choose six academic sources directly related to your research topic.
- At least two sources must come from course texts (Law, Justice, and Society or The Color of Law).
- Remaining sources should be peer-reviewed journal articles, books, government reports, or similarly credible materials.
- Annotations:
For each source, provide a 150–200-word annotation that includes:- Citation (APA format): Include a complete APA-style reference.
- Summary: A concise overview of the source’s main arguments or findings.
- Relevance: An explanation of how the source connects to your research question.
- Evaluation: Assess the source’s credibility, perspective, and contribution to your analysis.

Summary:

Relevance:
This source is directly relevant to my research question, as it explains the systemic impact of redlining policies discussed in The Color of Law. It also offers quantitative data on housing inequality, which I will use in my analysis.
Evaluation:
The article is published in a peer-reviewed journal and authored by two leading scholars in urban studies, ensuring credibility. Its use of both historical and contemporary data makes it highly valuable for my research.
