For this activity, you must use the required reading that corresponds to the region you are assigned as noted in the Study Materials. However, you are also encouraged to conduct your own additional online research.
Instructions
Collaborating with your team, answer the following questions regarding the key factors affecting globalization salient for your assigned region. Work with your team to create and present one consolidated and coherent response to the questions. This response should be in the form of visual aids such as charts, diagrams, slides, or other media including PowerPoint presentations, video presentations, or audio clips.
- How is your region coping with globalization? Provide an overview of the factors from the KOF Index of Globalization.
- What cultural variables (religion, ethnicity, modernization, and geography) are prevalent in your region?
- What is a single important issue/area of concern to the global community emanating from your region?
Once you and your team finish creating a visual aid presentation that answers the questions above, one representative from your team must post your team’s presentation to the discussion thread in Global Community Team Activity 1. (Teams must select a new representative for each new global community team activity). The team representative from each assigned region must start a discussion topic using the name of their team’s assigned region in the title of the post. For example: [Region: Asia]. Then, all classmates on each team (not just the team representative) are expected to reply to at least one other post from another team (region) by the date indicated in the Course Calendar.
