This proposal will be the beginning of outlining your Research Essay.
The prospectus assignment is designed to scaffold your research paper. It is a 3-4- page paper, broken into several subsections (ie.: introduction/personal interest, background info/research, plan forward), each of which offers a brief overview of an area of the project. It will cite at least six academic sources that you have read to increase your knowledge of the area of interest.
Whatever your area of inquiry, you must tie it to language/communication.
Write your research proposal in the following format:

APA Title Page

Paragraph of introduction to your topic choice (personal experiences/anecdotes and pronouns acceptable in this section).

A research question or hypothesis or goal (this will act as your main idea/thesis)

A 500-750-word literature review that includes a minimum of 6-8 academic sources that explains a general outline of the final paper (this may be modified as you continue to read and research).

APA list of references (a minimum of six cited in-text) and future readings that you have found but not yet read/cited.
The research proposal should be approximately 6 pages including the title page and references pages. You will submit online ONLY
