Global issue: Objectification of women within patriarchal societies.


Structure:

Introduction – State the global issue, brief introduction to artists (Christina Rosetti and Mounica Tata) and mention the lit extracts, non-lit extracts which will be analysed in the essay (1 min).

 

Analyse lit extract – “In an artists studio” by Christina Rosetti, analyse the literary techniques, word choices and refer to the global issue by linking the analysis. 3 quotes most relevant to global issue should be analysed thoroughly. Thorough analysis of these lines should be carried out and linked to the global issue. (500-550 words) 

 

Analyse lit whole – Christina Rosetti’s 3 other works with similar global issue and briefly analyse the three to show how they convey the global issue. To briefly analyse a poem, 3 most impactful lines relevant to the global issue of the entire song can be thoroughly analysed, (400 – 450 words)

 

Analyse non lit extract – Mounica Tata’s “How to Build a Bride”, analyse the visual techniques and refer to the global issue by linking the analysis to the global issue. (500 – 550 words).

 

Analyse non lit whole – Mounica Tata’s 3 other works with similar global issue and briefly analyse the three to show how they convey the global issue. Visual techniques to the global issue can be thoroughly analysed for each work. (400 – 450 words)

 

Conclusion  — Summarise the analysis of the extracts with reference to global issue, compare and contrast the both lit and non-lit extracts (150 -200 words).
