I need to produce a 300 words poster and provide a brief 500 words commentary on how the poster identifies the political and philosophical assumptions underpinning a dominant political education policy or practice. I added the graphics and tables in the paid item . You can just make a simple graphics and make sure that the 200 or 300words are on it. I will make a complete academic poster myself after receiving it.
Commentary’s topic needs to be selected in the following political education cases:
· Council of Europe’s Competences for Democratic Culture (2018)
· UNESCO’s Media and Information literate citizens. Think critically, click wisely! (2021)
· Moral and national education (MNE) curricular guidelines proposed by the Education Bureau of Hong Kong in 2012 (policy and practice)
· The Climate Change Film Pack. Guidance for Teaching Staff. DCSF Sustainable Schools Year of Action (2006, England)
You should identify some of the following understandings and assumptions:
Understandings |
Related assumptions |
|
Universalism |
Impartiality |
Neutrality |
Facts and opinions |
Objectivity |
Independent thinking |
Individualism |
Development |
Hierarchy |
As for the content, need to identify the dominant understandings of education and their political and philosophical assumptions underpinning your selected case.
Consider the following questions to discuss your poster in the poster’s commentary:
· What political education policy or practice have you selected?
· What aspects of the policy/practices have you focused on?
· What understandings of education and their political and philosophical assumptions have you identified?
· In your poster, how/where have you identified the dominant understandings of education and their political and philosophical assumptions underpin your selected dominant political education policy or practice? (for instance, in this section, through arrows, through colours, etc.).
· Why have you collated, organised, and integrate the resources in the way you have done it? (i.e. rationale).
· How have you made complex educational ideas accessible for the target audience?
Overall, your aim in the poster’s commentary is to evidence the originality, analytical and critical insight behind your poster.
Poster and commentary together need four or five references. You can put two of each. This reference need to come from the following readings.
