Ethical Communication in a Small Group
Watch the Washington Week full episode, from July 8, 2022 | Washington Week with The Atlantic (pbs.org)” Write a 3 page reflective essay on the episode. Some political/current affairs panels on television give outstanding examples of ineffective and great ethical communication in their debates.
After watching the panel discussion, write a reflective essay addressing the following:
- List the program, topic, and background of the participants in the panel discussion.
- Identify the ethical issues faced in the discussion you chose.
- Discuss how participants addressed these ethical issues.
- Explain how the participants established credibility, confidence, and trustworthiness.
- What group communication skills did you observe within the panel discussion? Were they ineffective or effective? Explain your rationale with specific details.
- Identify two strategies for promoting ethical communication within teamwork settings. Explain these strategies and if the participants adhered to them during their panel discussion. Be sure to give specific examples of their communication.
