- You may provide a statement of acknowledgment – about anyone (e.g. faculty, project stakeholders, family, etc.) who provided guidance or assistance through the project journey OR who provided support during the doctoral journey
- You will provide a brief personal introduction that helps the audience get to know the you, including information such as details about your personal/professional background, journey into nursing, current practice, and future aspirations after earning your doctorate-the purpose of telling one’s story is to provide a personal context for the project work.
- The Pecha Kucha formatted presentation providing a salient overview of the entire project (e.g. project practice setting, identified problem, intervention or innovation, contextual impacts, evaluation measures and findings, sustainability, and reflection)
- Include a final slide in your presentation displaying the words “lessons learned”; conclude your talk by sharing your thoughts about the doctoral program journey, comment on how your doctoral education has impacted your professional practice and/or your personal growth (e.g. achieved that ‘stretch’ of thought processes and/or developed a DNP mindset).
Assignment submission requirements:
- Submit your Pecha Kucha PPT
- Submit an outline that provides the content you plan to present with each slide (keeping in mind you only have 20 seconds per slide – with the exception of the ‘final thoughts’ slide)
- In the Assignment Resources section you will be able to access a ‘guideline’ for creating the script for the 20 slides.
