His neighbor brought him to the hospital where they found that Larry was hypertensive with blood pressure being 169/104, respirations 28, oxygen saturation of 93%, blood sugars were in the 700s, and he was diagnosed with DKA(Diabetic Ketoacidosis) . While Larry was in the ERthey noticed he had a wound on his right foot which Larry didn’t know he had-they told him it was a non healing diabetic ulcer from his diabetes. Larry’s hemoglobin A1c resulted at 12.2 and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
