significance and relevance. Narrow down to the specific problem, question, or issue
that your PICOT addresses. Provide context by discussing existing knowledge, theories,
or research gaps that led to the need for your investigation. Include statistics

c) Apply the transition theory by Meleis, as cited in IM (2010) to the case study, a handout
for the Transition Theory can be found on Blackboard. Answer the following questions:
i. What transition(s) is the patient in?
ii. What are the facilitators and inhibitors?
iii. What is or was the patient’s response?
iv. What was the nursing intervention?
D. Implications
Integrate nursing implications from your literature review and relate them to your patient’s
problem. Include implications in the three areas under different subheadings in bold

b) Implications for Nursing Education: What are the current guidelines for educating
