Instructor’s directions:
As the director of the programs and services division for the Department of Juvenile Justice you have been tasked with writing a competitive grant proposal for funding to support family-based interventions for incarcerated delinquent youth. As part of this proposal, you are required to discuss strategies for increasing parent participation in these interventions, an issue that has plagued juvenile justice agencies for decades. Use what you have learned about family risk factors/interventions to address this portion of the proposal. Think about why parents might resist participating and what might work to increase their participation.
1. Write a 2-3 page essay, in 12 point times new roman font, with a proper introduction, body, and conclusion.
2. Be certain to incorporate specific information from this week’s lesson to develop and support your arguments. (lesson information will be attached below)
3. Although independent research is not required, it may be helpful. If you do use outside research be certain to include in-text citations and a reference list to credit your sources.
