Purpose: In this assignment, you will discuss and reflect upon how you intend to engage in the internship position description you identified. Structure: Use each component as the header for each section. (4-5 pages long, Times New Roman 12pt, double spaced). All citations must be in APA 7 format.

Part 1, Objective and Goal Setting:  (1 page)

State the the objective of engaging in this internship in one paragraph.  Describe the objective according to you and the position you selected, do not focus on it being a graduation requirement, rather discern why interning in this role will matter to the professional person you are becoming.  After that paragraph, set 4 – 5 goals for the internship. As you establish and set your 4 – 5 goals, you may want to ensure they adhere to the SMART Goals acronym (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound).Links to an external site. Please use at least 2 citations that give foundation for your goals and objectives in this page — they can be in the objective or layered into a goals as evidence that you are in good professional company for making this goal.  

Part 2, Connecting Goals to Competencies: (2 pages)

Identify 1 competency area (selected from the 8 NACE competencies) that you want to concentrate on developing during your experience per goal you have set.  Share how these competency concepts might influence your professional growth. For each competency, be sure to reference the NACE descriptors of it to show how you will engage in developing and using skills needed for professionals.  

Part 3: An Action Item/Task/Activity for each Goal: (1 page)

Describe the steps you will take to achieve the goal. What tasks or activities must I do to achieve the goal? Describe and share what it might look like to progress through the goal and complete the activity with growth for yourself?
