An introduction stating the problem statement and research question for your interview (approx. 300 words)
An interview guide (same guide per interview team; can be submitted as a separate file; not included in word count)
Your transcribed and coded interview (can be submitted as a separate file; not included in word count)
A code diagram (showing at least three groupings of codes; the diagram is not included in the word count) and explanation of the codes used (approx. 200 words)
A preliminary analysis of the results (approx. 500 words): What did you find out, how does this answer your research question, and what might we learn from this (that is relevant beyond the interview itself)? Relate your tentative findings to the empirical and theoretical literature that you have been reading in the Methods and Theme tracks.
Critical reflection on the interview guide (approx. 200 words): How was the experience of constructing and working with an interview guide? What were the advantages and challenges of constructing/working with a guide?
Critical reflection on the interview process (approx. 500 words): What challenges did you encounter/observe? How did or would you solve them (next time)? Explain at least three aspects and provide an example for each. Use the methodological literature you have read, and the “observer’s checklist”, as a source of inspiration.
Critical reflection on the process of coding and analysis (approx. 500 words): Reflect on your process of coding, interpretation and analysis. What challenges did you encounter? How did you solve them (or how could you solve them next time)? List and explain at least two aspects and provide an example for each. Draw on the methodological literature you have read to support your discussion.
The total word limit for this assignment is 2200 words. The word limits exclude references, figures/tables, the interview guide and coded interview transcript. Any submitted report under or over 10% of the total word limit will receive a deduction of 1.0 grade point.
