has fulfilled its purposes (Al-Abri, 2007). The impact of this change proposal
can be measured through various metrics. One way to measure the outcome is to
track the number of medication errors before and after the implementation of
automatic medication dispensing cabinets (Fanning, 2015). By comparing these
numbers, healthcare facilities can assess the effectiveness of the new
technology in reducing errors and improving patient safety. Monitor and record
the incidence of complications such as allergic reactions, overdoses, or
adverse effects, before and after the implementation of AMDCs. Analyze the
rates of medication diversion or misuse before and after the implementation of
AMDCs, using data from audits and inventory reconciliation (Fanning, 2015).
Conduct time-motion studies or surveys to evaluate the impact of AMDCs on
nursing workflow and time spent on medication-related tasks.

 

Conclusion

The proposed change to automatic medication dispensing cabinets will
have a significant positive impact on patient safety. Through the
implementation of advanced technology, medication errors will be reduced, and
the overall medication administration process will become more efficient. By
measuring indicators such as medication errors and time saved, the impact of
this change can be quantified and evaluated. Through effective communication
