Is that in today’s modern world mass media (ie; applications, newspapers, and magazines) captures the attention of anyone willing to pay attention, and knowing this is cultures of any kind susceptible to being stereotyped due to mass media.

What is needed:

  1. Background information that sets the stage for the research study.

  2. Tell me what they were looking to explore (research questions and/or hypotheses).

  3. Describe their participants and the methodology used in the study.

  4. Tell me what they found in the study.

  5. How does this article relate to your research question?

My research proposal is that in today’s modern world mass media (ie; applications, newspapers, and magazines) captures the attention of anyone willing to pay attention, and knowing this is cultures of any kind susceptible to being stereotyped due to mass media.

The question asked by the researchers is how social media portrays how norms of culture are spread across social media and how people tend to normalize the information. “How do people think about what is appropriate, allowed, required, or forbidden?” Brady (2024).

The research question for this study is how false memories can be promoted by fake news that includes stereotyping in a bad or positive light based on a person’s nationality. In this study, there were 1,364 via personal networks. This is related to my research proposal because the spread of information amongst different platforms creates an image of a culture and in most cases, the news is considered to be fake. Creating stereotypes.

This research was to test the cognitive correlates of false memories that are induced by the misinformation paradigm based on perception, memory, and many more. The participants were 557 undergraduates from Bejing Normal University in China. This study is important to my research proposal because this study showcases how humans do not have perfect memories and that over time you may mix up information. Which can result in a dislike towards a certain culture because of the misleading information.

Researchers were questioning how content producers handled ‘imagined audiences’ on Twitter were they maintaining authenticity, concealing subjects?  The participants of this study are users of Twitter.
