Our final goal for this lesson is to produce the Full-sentence Outline for the Persuasive “Values” Speech. We’ll break this task down into the three steps we followed when we produced the Informative Definition Speech:
- Create the Specific Purpose, Thesis, and Main Points
- Arrange and Support/Research the Main Points in the Body of the Speech, and
- Complete the Introduction, Transitions, and Conclusion
If you use this plan (referring back to our work with the Definition Speech when necessary), you should be able to reach the stated goal by the end of the unit.
