Think of ways in which you could include literacy in the following centers in an early childhood classroom for 3 – 4 year olds. You need to list at least one item that you would add to each center listed below AND explain how the item facilitates literacy. Be creative! Do not tell me you will put a book in each area.

You will upload your TYPED language and literacy lesson plan here. This is the activity you will do with the children at the Monroe Campus Children’s Center. If it is not typed, it will not be graded. You will not receive a separate grade for the lesson plan. It will be included in the overall grade in doing the activity with the children.
Below is a lesson plan template for you to use and the Rubric. There are also sample lesson plans to view. This activity cannot involve reading a book to the children. Do not copy the lesson plans below. Come up with your own activity idea.
Make sure you have read/watched all the information on Canvas on language and literacy. There is a detailed powerpoint explanation on how to write a lesson plan in the Module, “Resources for Lesson Planning.”
