past and current research to provide the foundation for my original
contribution to the field of social work. This contribution paper will and will
be a recommendation for an intervention, policy, or other action that will
address an emerging or ongoing problem in the field of social work.

The title of my paper is: Enhancing
Cultural Competency and Evidence-Based Practice at NYC Health + Hospitals.
I am
looking to explore research (peer-reviewed journal articles) from dates
2017-2024 to create a literature review. The literature review should be 3
pages long. Here you want to use a thematic literature review, NOT an annotated
one. The literature review should contain no opinion, just critical findings
from multiple sources. Each paragraph should contain at least 3 different
sources. Each source MUST be cited in text. I work as a therapist in a
psychiatric outpatient behavioral health center at a hospital in NY. Our
demographics identify as BIPOC, specifically Black, African American,
Afro-Carribean, and Latinx. This literature review should explore what cultural
competency is, why it is crucial in healthcare, particularly in therapy, using
peer-reviewed articles. The literature should 1) define cultural competency 2)
discuss the importance of cultural competency/cultural knowledge in healthcare
settings, particularly in hospital mental health settings. 3) explore research
on best therapy and treatment practices for minority groups (Black, African
American, Afro-carribean, Latinx) among our behavioral health’s (NYC Health +
Hospitals) clinical social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, nurse
practitioners, peer counselors and case managers. Please use my research
proposal as a guide. I have uploaded it and named it “statement of
interest – killer”. I have also uploaded some works that you MAY include
in your literature review. Remember, they must be published between 2017-2024.
