MANUAL (20% of grade) –
As helping
professionals, we want to be able to offer concrete ways to help athletes
through the psychological challenges that they may encounter in their career.
Therefore, this assignment is designed to provide helping professionals with a
“tool” for their “toolbox” that can be used in their practical experiences
beyond the classroom and in the future. For this assignment, you will be asked
to pick a topic related to the psychology of injury and develop a practical
manual/workbook for a particular
audience of your choice (e.g., coaches, ATC’s, PT’s, athletes). Manuals are
expected to be at least 20 pages not including title page, TOC and reference
list, include both theory and practical information, and use 5 references cited
from research based resources (can use references from class but at least 2
must be your own, must be cited in APA format and include a reference page).
See attached assignment and grading sheet for detailed instructions on
completing the assignment.
