Reflection must be 300 words minimum and will be based on your readings. You must write your responses in a clear analysis that supports your claims with textual evidence from the readings. The goal of the memo is to show your analytical voice and ability to bridge textual evidence to support your claim. Remember, do not let the author do the arguing for you. Take control of the author’s words to support your claim. You should also include a citation of the reading which includes, the last name of the author and the page number. These responses should be written on a word document. Use 12-point font, double space, include a title, your name, and insert your word count at the end of the document.
To receive the full points for each memo, you must do the following:
Your word document is 300 words in length, there is a title, your name, and a word count that shows “Word Count=300” and your memo has at minimum, 300 words. Your memo is written in an essay format that is double space. You include at least a few quotes from the reading but use your own words to summarize the quotes. Your introduction starts with an argument or perspective (example: The Every Student Succeeds Act supports native nation building goals. In the article, Hollie J. Mackey shows….). Finally, your memo is submitted on time, is well organized, with little to no spelling errors/no grammar problems.
