INTRODUCTION:
This performance assessment task involves preparing a PowerPoint presentation tailored to a chosen population. The presentation will focus on outlining the primary challenges this group encounters in maintaining good mental health, suggesting practical strategies to enhance access to mental health services by tackling social factors that influence health outcomes, and discussing initiatives aimed at reducing mental health disparities and promoting fair access to care.
SCENARIO:
You are event director for a nonprofit that focuses on equal access to mental health care. You have been tasked with organizing a public forum about the mental health challenges faced by a specific population listed below. For the public discussion you will create a PowerPoint presentation that is aimed at the identified population and highlights the main barriers this group faces in achieving good mental health, practical ways to improve access to mental health services by addressing social determinants of health, and initiatives aimed at addressing mental health disparities and advancing equitable access to care.
