Identify any 2 of these scenes and explain what type of Personal Power or Position Billy Beane used, whether he was effective, and the outcome. (Hint: Please refer to pages 210 to 216, section Leadership and the use of Power in Chapter 8 of the textbook).
2.The movie establishes the motivations of the central characters. Using one or more theories of motivation, describe the motivations of Billy Beane and Peter Brand.
You can use the same theory for both characters or multiple theories. (Please refer to chapter 9, pages 242 to 253 of the textbook, for various theories of motivation relevant to workplaces.)
3) In the movie, Billy Beane resolves many group conflicts, for example, with the team scouts, the coach, and the players. Describe one of the conflicts, identify the type and cause, and explain how he managed the conflic (Refer to pages 291 to 293 of Chapter 10 in the textbook).
4) Billy Beane negotiates buys and sales of multiple players using different tactics throughout the movie.
Explain why he was effective using one of two these negotiation scenes as an example.
5.Summarize your thoughts on the movie and how it related to the management concepts in chapters 8, 9, 10, and 11 of the book.
