PROMPT: After doing the readings and watching videos on food issues around us, choose a topic that speaks to you most. This could be something from the readings or not. Take a position/stand on the issue and write a multimodal argument (using Google Sites) in which you argue your position and support your reasoning with evidence from secondary sources.
In your argument, you will first form an claim, which will be your thesis. Then, you will support this thesis with explanations and evidence. We will be engaging in prewriting activities, workshopping, conferencing, and receiving peer feedback before you submit your final draft.
A review: Arguments can take many shapes or forms. Your academic argument should have most of the following characteristics (these are also roughly the criteria you will be evaluated on for the most part):
· An explicit position
· A response to what others have said or done (ethos)
· Appropriate background information
· A clear indication of why the topic matters
· Good reasons and evidence (logos)
· Attention to more than one point of view
· An authoritative tone
· An appeal to readers’ values

Approximately 1500-1600 words of a multimodal argument written and PUBLISHED on Google Sites

2-3 (minimum) sources to support your arguments
