My topic is ‘’AI’s Role in Business: Boosting Efficiency and Productivity’’
I chose to research the topic “AI’s Role in Business: Boosting Efficiency and Productivity” because of my curiosity about this emerging technology. As someone who knew relatively little about AI, I was initially intrigued by its applications in coding and automation. This sparked my interest in exploring further into how AI can be a transformative force in the business world.
My excitement about this research stems from a desire to learn more about AI. I’m eager to understand how it’s not just a tool for tech enthusiasts, but a powerful asset for businesses. I want to uncover how AI is reshaping the way companies operate, make decisions, and drive growth. This research presents an opportunity to delve into a subject that’s both new and full of potential, particularly in understanding its impact on business efficiency and productivity.”

”BUS 325 FINAL TERM PROJECT
Use of Technology in Business
(Presentation)
Creating
a VoiceThread Presentation on your current midterm paper topic to be placed in
the lobby of SPS (not happening, but think that it will be!) Staff, students, and guests who enter the
lobby should view your VT and learn about your showcasing technology. This is
NOT a technical presentation, but viewers learn about the technology, how it is
used in business, and how it explains your paper in a VT PowerPoint
presentation.
The
VT presentation should be user-friendly, engaging, and the user should want to
stay at your presentation to learn about your technology. It should be
consistent – that is, the fonts and appearance look the same; videos embedded
and any supplemental material should be thoroughly tested. It is recommended
(if possible) that you show your final project to a colleague or friend (not your
instructor) for their input!
You
will make an 11-13 slide presentation on the topic you have written about in
your midterm paper. This final
presentation will be imported into VoiceThread.
All of the instructions will be explained as the project moves along.
Once
in VoiceThread, you will make your voice or video comment to add to the
presentation (similar to the way we have been doing this term). You will take
us from the start of the presentation to the end, describing your slides (not
just reading from them!). This will be one comment (not a comment on every slide). This
will be the same result as presenting this to a live audience.
Your
presentation will introduce on the 1st slide; your name and the topic.
Subsequent slides will explain how your topic is used in business and have
examples to show this. You will also include a slide of your outside research
(interview), so we can all learn from it.
All
of this you have already done. You will now be doing it in a presentation for
the entire class to watch!
Important: Please don’t include voice comments, fancy
animation, flying text, or YouTube videos when you create your initial
PowerPoint presentation. You can add this in after it’s uploaded to
VoiceThread.
Your
final VT presentation should include:
þ Well-structured PowerPoint
slides describing your midterm topic.
þ The 1st slide
should introduce your name and the topic you will discuss.
þ The entire presentation
should appear as one production taking us from start to finish. The viewer
shouldn’t need to click on any slides to move it forward.
þ Your outside interview, so
we can all learn from your findings! Please put a heading on this slide(s)
titled “Outside Research.” Only one slide should be included
on this topic. Please make sure this slide is clear.
þ One embedded YouTube
video (no longer than one-two minute maximum – people get distracted if
it’s too long) and any other media in your presentations make it enjoyable.
þ One informative, clear and
legible chart (bar, column, line, etc.) helps support the information presented.
þ The final slide will be a “comment
slide.” I have an example of a
picture you can use for that slide. You can choose this or another image! This
will be the last slide that our classmates will eventually be commenting
on.
þ Closed captions that are
corrected and show what you are saying. Captions must be updated before you
submit the assignment. Once you submit them, you will not be able to fix them!
Questions
to ask yourself:
þ Will someone walking away
from your VT presentation find it interesting and informative and recommend it
to others?
þ Do the videos work and are
clear to watch and listen to?
þ Did you include a chart
and explain it?
þ Are the slides clear and
consistent with font types, sizes, and backgrounds?
þ Is your one comment taking
us through the VT presentation clear and understandable?
þ Did you check your closed
captions and correct them properly?
þ Are you explaining rather
than just reading off a slide?
þ Did you review the
presentation tips in the folder?
þ Did you rehearse your
presentation before reco”
