Attached is an outline that has already been submitted and confirmed. Please go off of this outline and make a more detailed one (basically the draft) that I can submit. Please provide many quotes with sources. As well as bullet points throughout this draft. Attached are also comments that my professor had on my outline.

Students are required to write a research paper on a national security policy issue of their choice (excluding the topic of their group presentation). The paper should analyze a particular case or issue of contemporary policy relevance (e.g., the U.S. security commitment to Europe, ethnic conflict in the Middle East, or the possibility of humanitarian military intervention in Haiti) and, toward the end, flesh out some policy options that follow from the analysis in the paper.
Strong papers will display the following characteristics: they will be well written, clearly identify the policy problem, present a sound argument based on logic and evidence, go beyond the lectures, and draw on at least six to eight scholarly sources (including articles from policy-oriented academic journals such as Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, Global Policy, International Security, The Journal of Strategic Studies, Orbis, Security Studies, Survival, The Washington Quarterly, and International Affairs). To identify and access scholarly journals in political science, students should search the Political Science Complete database and select to limit results to “Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals.” Students may also want to acquaint themselves with the resources available in Fondren library and ask the reference librarian for guidance as needed.
